The Role of the Committee
The Partners with Lived Expertise Committee (PWLEC) advises the Sacramento Continuum of Care (CoC) by sharing insights and lived experience to improve how the system serves people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This committee plays a key role in identifying barriers, gaps, and opportunities across system efforts, helping shape more responsive and effective practices.
Formed in January 2022, have participated in a range of CoC initiatives, including the Coordinated Access System, the annual funding competition (NOFO), and local city and county projects. Their work informs system planning, project evaluation, and the development of solutions grounded in lived experience.
