Continuum of Care
Point-in-Time Count Committee

The Role of the Committee

The Point-in-Time (PIT) Count Committee helps engage the Sacramento Continuum of Care (CoC) in the planning, implementation, and review of the unsheltered PIT Count, which takes place every two years. The committee serves as the formal space for the CoC Board to work with Sacramento Steps Forward staff and consultants throughout all phases of the count.

Activities include reviewing and giving input on the count process, including methodology, survey questions, and how results are shared. The committee also helps select a research consultant, supports inclusive planning to ensure all subpopulations are represented, and shares regular updates and recommendations with the System Performance Committee and/or the CoC Board.

Join Committee Conversations

Point-in-Time Count Committee meetings are open to the public and held monthly via Zoom. All are welcome to attend and stay informed about how the count is being planned and improved.
