Here's what it means to be an HMIS-participating agency:
The HMIS is a secure database used by partner agencies to document services, enroll clients, and share data that strengthens our region’s homelessness response. As an HMIS-participating agency, you will be part of that system by contributing data from your agency’s work with those at risk of or experiencing homelessness. The system will also allow your agency to better understand a person’s full service history and more easily coordinate with other agencies.
If your agency is not yet part of HMIS, this page guides you through the process to join. Before any staff can participate, your agency must:
- Sign agreements with Sacramento Steps Forward.
- Complete required security and compliance steps.
- Set up at least one program in the HMIS.
