Update – November 7, 2025
(from the Sacramento County Department of Human Assistance)
“After a second court ruling on November 6 for USDA to tap into an additional funding pool to fully fund SNAP benefits across the Country, Sacramento County confirmed it is seeing fully funded November benefits for some recipients. We encourage all account holders to check their balance regularly.
However, we do not know how long it will take for all recipients to receive their benefits. Additionally, because of the week delay on receiving benefits, food pantries are still busy and experiencing a backlog of clients and dwindling food stores. This means extra support is still needed for our local food banks, and the County Emergency Operations Center will continue operating until the need is no longer urgent to support the community transitioning out of this food crisis.”
Update – November 3, 2025
As of Monday, November 3, 2025, a federal court ruling has ordered that Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) monthly benefits-known as “CalFresh” in California-be partially funded. This means that those receiving CalFresh should receive at least a portion of their November benefits.
