2026 Point-in-Time Count: Date & Location Confirmed

Home / News and Updates / 2026 Point-in-Time Count: Date & Location Confirmed

It’s official: the 2026 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is happening on two nights early next year, on January 26–27, 2026, with volunteers surveying each night from 5:00–11:00 p.m., starting from the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Sacramento.

Every two years, our community comes together for one or more nights with a shared purpose: to better understand homelessness in Sacramento. This is an opportunity to step outside, look directly at what’s happening in our neighborhoods, and be part of shaping solutions that help your neighbors. This year, we’re aiming to recruit 1,000 volunteers to participate.

Learn more about how to join and stay up-to-date from the just-launched 2026 PIT Count webpage. A volunteer sign-up is coming soon.
